Meet me in Kenosha!

I will be at Southport Quilters Guild in Kenosha,WI Sunday the 1st of April for a workshop, then Monday evening for a lecture. Please join us if you can! I promise fun for all! See their website here

I hope you all will be able to join us at the Sewing and Quilt Expo in Schaumburg at the Renaissance Center this Thursday through Saturday, Our booth (number 833) will be stocked with machines and fabric so you can sit and sew with us, sign a block for a donation, or buy a pattern to make your own QOV or any other fast and easy project. This booth will be very near the traveling Quilts of Valor display in the far right hand corner of the exhibit hall as you enter. Please stop by and say hello, sit and sew, and meet me or one of the other fabulous folks that help out on a regular basis. Our "troops" so to speak!

We will have a booth for Quilts of Valor, Illinois Chapter, or LOLQOV. Stop by at Sewing Expo next week to sew a little with us. Here's a shirt I embroidered for my friend Rita who is organizing it, she works so hard!

Posting resolutions

I have vowed to post more regularly, so here goes. You are free to drop me a line and say "hey, where ya been?"

I am designing a row for a fun and free online quilt. There are 15 designers (?) and as soon as it is posted online I will put my pic here. The site is the "Patchwork Posse" and they have some great online lessons and patterns. Sign up, and then you will get notices when the new rows are available. Mine will go up on the 27th. QwM Here I come!!!

I am getting excited about teaching at QwM again this year! My applique class filled, but I have a new class, "Design a Star with Paper Piecing" You will learn to make your own fabulous paper pieced star for a wallhanging, or when you get home you can design more for a whole quilt! A great way for those who have perhaps paper pieced a bit but want to improve their comfort level with it. Please let me know via my website if you have any questions!!
